I’VE BEEN COOKING FOR 40 YEARS, EVER SINCE COLLEGE, WHEN I WORKED MY WAY THROUGH JULIA CHILD’S MASTERING THE ART OF FRENCH COOKING, VOLUME I.  I COOKED FOR MYSELF.  I COOKED FOR GIRLFRIENDS.  NOW I COOK FOR MY WIFE AND OUR FRIENDS.  LYNN, WHO MAKES A RARE BUT WELCOME CONTRIBUTION TO THE MEAL OF THE WEEK, IS A SUPERB DESSERT CHEF.  SINCE IT OPENED 20 YEARS AGO, WE SHOP EVERY SUNDAY AT THE HOLLYWOOD FARMERS’ MARKET, SO MEALS ARE DICTATED BY WHAT’S IN SEASON.  SEVEN YEARS AGO SOMEONE GAVE ME A CAMERA AND I STARTED PHOTOGRAPHING OUR DINNERS AND E-MAILING RECIPES TO FRIENDS.  MORE RECENTLY, I’VE ADDED MATCHING WINES.  MY LIST HAS GROWN SO LARGE THAT E-MAILING IS IMPOSSIBLE, SO I’VE CREATED THIS BLOG, WHICH, IN ADDITION TO MY WEEKLY RECIPE, WILL GIVE YOU ACCESS TO PAST RECIPES, RESTAURANT REVIEWS, WHERE TO SHOP, AND WHAT TO BUY.
